AtéCé Graphic Products – located in the Netherlands – is a producer of consumables and a total supplier for the printing industry. Our family business has developed into an independent player on the international market. As a total supplier, we have a complete product portfolio of graphic supplies and we distribute these through a network of 120 dealers worldwide.
Production in own factory
AtéCé produces pressroom chemicals, waterbased and UV coatings in our own liquid plant in Uitgeest. In addition, we have a modern production facility in Alkmaar for the converting of PrintCare rubber blankets, coating plates, stripping blankets, underpackaging materials and PressClean washcloth rolls. These products are sold on the international market under own brand names, under private label and as OEM products. Offset plates and printing inks are produced under license - exclusively and according to our own specifications - by specialized manufacturers. These products are distributed under our own brand names Nova and Deutsche Druckfarben.
Ink Innovation Centre
In Alkmaar, AtéCé has a modern Ink Innovation Centre with a highly developed laboratory and with state-of-the-art equipment for testing printing inks and product innovations. We also have a professional mixing service for inks. Offset and flexo inks for conventional UV, H-UV and LED UV and food packaging compliant applications are mixed here. In addition, we have a lot of in-house knowledge and we make the difference in the market with our colourists and application specialists. This enables us to supply the right ink for every application, both for offset and flexo printing.

We export our graphic consumables worldwide through a network of distributors. This network is expanding rapidly. More and more distributors choose to work with AtéCé because of their knowledge of the international graphic market and the quality of the products. We also have our own sales teams in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Serbia.
Knowledge & practical experience
In addition to our quality products, it’s all about technical knowledge and practical experience. We have – in all modesty – become a specialist in the field of Prepress and Press, both at home and abroad. We have a passionate team of specialists with extensive experience of the graphic production process. That is a very important added value that we offer. Our technical people come everywhere and know the prepress and printing world inside out. Our technical team unburdens our customers with this.

Real family business
AtéCé was founded in 1977. At that time the company only produced chemicals and supplied commercial products for printing companies. In 1985, AtéCé was taken over by the Schelhaas family. The current director/owner is Bert Schelhaas. We have grown explosively through our own growth and through acquisitions as well. We have developed into an independent producer on the international market while retaining our independence. We have remained a real family business, very accessible and very personal. Many employees have been with us for years and guarantee continuity in quality and customer contacts
Market leader in the Netherlands
In its home country, The Netherlands, AtéCé has become the market leader in supplying graphic consumables. The product portfolio includes almost everything for prepress and press in printing companies. Our delivery program contains – in addition to the products that we produce ourselves – strong brands of which we have the representation. In the Benelux and Germany we are the exclusive distributor of CRON CTP and HDI flexo-imaging. We are also the exclusive dealer of JWEI cutting solutions in the Benelux.
AtéCé supplies various graphic products approved by the independent testing institutes Fogra and ISEGA.
The Fogra institute is highly regarded in the graphic sector. Fogra approves and certifies washing agents, fountain solution additives and washing cloth for release on the printing presses of Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer [KBA] and Manroland.
ISEGA tests all products used in the offset printing process for packaging and food safety. When a product have acquired the Isega certificate it meets the requirements for safe food contact.
