Pureprint Group targets turnover boost following Heidelberg Speedmaster investment
Pureprint Group has continued its aggressive investment strategy after opting to boost its litho capacity with an order for a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105.
The new six-colour press, which features a coating unit, will be installed at the company's Uckfield, East Sussex site in January 2011 and brings the group's spending up to £3m this year.
Its latest press order complements the installation of two HP Indigo 7500 digital colour printers earlier this year and comes at a time where the group has increased turnover by nearly 15% in the past 12 months.
Mark Handford, chief executive of Pureprint Group, said the investment "reiterates our strong focus on securing the latest technology for our customers".
He added: "With this addition in B1 capacity we will continue to reap the benefits of production efficiencies while expanding our business and providing the best quality and service to our customer base."
Earlier this week, Pureprint Group scooped a hat trick of accolades at the 2010 PrintWeek Awards. Pureprint emerged the victor in the 'Environmental company of the year', 'Book printer of the year' and 'Fine art printer of the year' categories.
