MEN Media's Trafford Metro relaunches as two titles
MEN Media's Trafford Metro title is to re-launch as two newspapers, The Sale & Altrinchum Advertiser and The Stretford & Urmston Advertiser.
The launches, which will take place on the 21 October, will see the two titles include more local content, as well as a wider distribution. The changes follow an editorial reconfiguration of the MEN Media business over the summer.
MEN Media, which is part of the Trinity Mirror Group, anticipates that the combined distribution of the two papers will reach 78,000, an increase of 10,000, compared to the Trafford Metro.
In addition, the publication day has moved to Friday and each title will include a property platform, Homesmine, which will feature properties from the specific local area of each paper.
MEN managing director, David Sharrock, said "We’re delighted to announce the relaunch of these two titles and we hope our readers will notice the benefits of increased local news coverage. The bigger distribution of papers means that we are reaching more people and providing a bigger audience for our advertisers."
