DPI ups mono capacity with third Xerox 4127

Digital Printed Image (DPI) has responded to an increased workload from its contract client base by taking delivery of a third mono Xerox 4127 printer.

The Dorset digital print house has also increased its working day by four hours to cater for contract jobs, which have increased by 50%.

Robert Jupp, managing director at DPI, said the new 4127 would help it produce work for clients in the financial and education sectors.

"Recently, the work needed for these contracts has multiplied by around 50% and we've also had to shift to a 10.5-hour working day to fit it in," he added.

The five-staff business has increased capacity and efficiency with the new machine and has also set it sights on boosting its colour digital operation in the near future.

The 4127 device can print at 125ppm and scan at 100 images per minute single-sided or duplex, making it "the fastest light production printers in the industry" according to Xerox.

DPI has also recently completed the installation of a Duplo DC645 DuCreaser announced late last year.
