Polestar joins Carbon Trust for environment conference
Polestar has teamed up with the Carbon Trust to hold its first environmental conference today.
Representing about 65 organisations, more than 200 customers and suppliers are expected to attend the event at the Stationer's Hall, London.
The conference will look at the measurement and reduction of the carbon footprint throughout the supply chain.
Polestar chief executive Barry Hibbert said: "The environment is on everyone's agenda, but through this initiative we are moving on to the next stage – taking ownership of responsibilities and acting on them.
"The timing and objective of this event are spot on. By bringing all parties together, we can make some real progress.
"I am looking forward to hearing what they have to say and looking at what we can do next."
Polestar is working with the Carbon Trust's Carbon Management programme, which provides options to help UK businesses cut carbon emissions, energy and costs.
Hugh Jones, director of solutions at the Carbon Trust, will be one of the keynote speakers at the conference.
