Abseil team installs mammoth hotel graphic
A top London hotel has commissioned Hollywood Monster to produce and install a 22x9m graphic to cover the atrium of its hotel development on the Southbank opposite the Houses of Parliament.
The Contravision graphic was applied directly onto the glass of the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and offers one-way vision so that visitors inside the hotel have a clear view, as well as allowing natural light in from the outside.
It was created using 44 3x1.5m panels printed on an eight-colour EFI Vutek QS 3200 printer and took two days to install using an abseiling team.
Park Plaza Westminster Bridge marketing director Laurence Markham said: "The impact that the banner has produced has been significant and surpassed our initial expectations. It's vital that, for a hotel development of this scale, we and our partners can communicate when it will be opening."
