Offset Productions moves into B2 with Heidelberg investment
Offset Productions has made its foray into the B2 press arena after investing in a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 perfector.
The Aylesford, Kent business is traditionally a KBA customer but opted for the new press, which is specified with coater, to capitalise on a growing level of short-run work.
Its newly-installed press will handle a range of work that includes greetings cards, packaging production and other commercial applications.
Hugh Jarvis, managing director at Offset Productions, said the new machine couples both quality and value for money.
The litho printer, which was established more than 30 years ago, believes the short run work it carries out is best suited to the B2 press format.
"We looked at a number of options this time and came down in favour of Heidelberg because of the quality of the machine, the slightly larger format, its ability to handle high calliper boards and the overall value for money," added Jarvis.
